Lemmy, awesome talent; poor song choices...

DRUNKEN SHOW REVIEW:
The Head Cat featuring Lemmy Kilmister, Slim Jim Phantom, & Danny B. Harvey at The Independent, San Francisco 1/10/08

Lemmy Rocks

whoa.. tonight was a wierd show. three songs and "what the fuck is going on here?" My girlfriend BB said it was like watching a simpsons episode of the has been rock and rollers. dont get me wrong though, Lemmy rocks. that man has a rad voice. and he kept giving us little riffs, teasing out the rock but he never gave in. the truth is the more you closed your eyes the better the show was. It was all cover songs, the most over played rock cover songs.. fuck he sang johnny b-good and susie q. and in the end they had to pull out the stray cats to showcasez the stray cats drummer, but why the fuck did they have to play the most over played stay cats song there is??? i mean there are some good stray cats songs, but "rock this town.. rock it all night long" is not one of them. but we make it through that and think "they have to pull out the motorhead for the encore?" right? they played stray cats and all the greats (except Elvis) so they have to rock the encore but NOOOOO they fucking decide to play Route 66, god, I am shocked they didn't play ride sally ride, maybe they are saving that for NY. get ready.

-that said, he did play one original song "rock 'n roll will save you" which was amazing and he was wearing the tightest grey stretch jeans and creepers - HOT!
